How do I disconnect the wire on the oil pan for the low oil sending unit? It looks like it should just pull off but I don't want to force it. I am almost ready to pull the motor from my 93XLT to rebuild it. I pulled the heads first because of a blown head gasket, since I was that far I decided to do the bottom end too.

Any recomendations on a good mileage/torque cam while I am at it?

When I pulled the motor out of my '92, I unscrewed the fitting from the pan. I think the wire is integral on that sensor. I couldn't find a way to do it, except unthreading the fitting.

just pull it off

The low oil connector just pulls straight off.
