I know there was a post on here a little while ago with some NICE pictures on how to wire the hella's but I can't seem to find it anymore. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I want to be able to wire my lights to a switch so I can turn them on/off whenever I want to, since it's illegal (so a friend says) to have these on while driving. Is that true? If it isn't, I'll rig them up to my high beam or do people usually put them on their low beam?

Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here's a diagram:

For driving lamps, you can get the power from anywhere for pin 86 of the relay. I can't conceive of a situation where you'd want to have the driving lamps on without the high beams, so that's a good choice, IMHO.

That's something like it. Only there was a guy on these forums that was making diagrams. I can't remember his name but he made a couple different ones.

If anyone can help me out. I'm kinda stuck. I have everything (it seems) hooked up, but I can't get them to work. Does the GREEN wire HAVE to be hooked up? I only want the lights on a switch, not hooked up to my hi/low beems. Other than the green wire, I have everything hooked up and nothing works.

Btw, am I mistaken or am I missing one blue wire. 2 for the lights to ground them. 1 for the relay and 1 for the switch but there isn't one for the switch... so I've only got one light grounded right now. Is that right? Do I have to get another wire to ground the other light or what? It seems really strange. Someone please help!!!

Anyone?

I wish someone remembered that guy's name that drew all the diagrams for everyone. But anyways, I got it hooked up yesterday without anything. I just grounded every wire to a seperate part on the truck.
