Wiring For Power Seat

I have 94 explorer without power seats and getting another explorer with power seats. Are all the wire there or will I have to run all the wires?

i pulled a set out of a 94 ex an i pulled most of the wire from under the carpet, only 2 wires on there 1 is power the other is ground.

The mount on the Explorer Limited are different than the one on my 1991 ford explorer XL. How will they work

How did you get the power to the seats, and the floor mount look different

If your seats are from a 1st gen they should bolt right to the floor. If they are from a later model the easiest thing to do is remove the rails from your old seats and put them on the new seats. You'll need to drill and tap new holes, but they are marked, so it's not hard to figure out. If you don't have a tap/die set they are only $25-50 at your local hardware store.

The `91 floor is different than the 92-01....it's the ONLY real change in the 91-94 Explorers..

You need a power seat rack from a 89-92 Ranger, or 91 Explorer.

This may come as a suprise....but you can find them in a Ranger.....or even a Bronco II....Bronco's are more likely to have Power Seats.

Check your local wrecking yards, or craigslist...
