Hey everyone, need a little help. My 96 EB never came with the tow package. I'm adding on a receiver hitch myself (shouldn't be too hard) but I also have to set up the wiring. I found a full trailer wiring kit for my car at GI Joes for 60 bucks. I havn't purchased it yet. Has anyone done this before? Is it hard, or easy? I'm trying to get everything squared away before memorial day weekend, but I'm not sure how much time i'm gonna need wiring this thing up. Any tips or info would be great. Thanks!!!

I did the DIY trailer wiring on a 96 sport. I had to buy relays that went under the hood, and relays that plug in back by your tire changing door inside the door. I just had an inline plug in for the wiring to the trailer.

Are you wiring for trailer brakes? If not I seen Connectors that just plugs in the rear harness ,no splicing, add a heavy duty blinker relay.

If you have amber turn signal lenses in the rear you will need to get the wiring that runs a wire to the battery with a converter box in the rear. Installing isnt too hard. Everything just plugs in except the wire going to the front. Mine took about an hour.
