wirring a lock in back hatch need HELP!!

im trying to update my x with a switch lock by the back hatch. like in the new xs the switch is already in. I was wondering if anyone has tryed and or could look in the new one for me for wiring specks. thanks!!

You'll need a SPDT spring-return switch and wire it in parallel with the switch you already have.
My '99 switch has a common ground, and when you press "LOCK" it connects the ground to the wire going to the "LOCK" side of your stock switch (same with unlock). Mine has LOCK and UNLOCK relays, I don't know if yours is the same or not.
