Help I thought the problem was solved, but its backkkkk.
-With the lights on uncranked all taillights work except the orange section of the left one.
-With the lights and engine on the left turn signal will work but the right one will not; but he flashers work. If i turn the lights off everything works fine.
I have changed all bulbs, changed the multi-switch ( ford part no F77B13K359AA for a 96 Explorer), checked both rear plug s for current (brown Wires). Help I'm stuck and would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks

This sounds like a broken ground wire from one of the lamp assemblies. Get a set of wiring diagrams and look for ground wire splices in or near the harnesses. May need to pull all bulbs and check for continuity/resistance to chassis ground.

I'll start to do just that, will let you know what I find tomorrow. Thanks

After changing the turn signal switch, the head light switch, the rear bulbs, and bothe rear sockets, i found that it was the ground wire for the front turn signal. I ran a ground from the battery ground to the ground of the socket and it now works fine. Thanks guys for all the help.
