My 94 Explorer sometimes won't start when it's warm or hot out. If I have it towed home or wait a few hours, it will start just as if everything is fine. I have put the code scanner on it numerous times to no avail. Anyone else have this happen to them?

bad electrical connection?

I had this happen with my Bronco II a few months back. How long has it been since you replaced your battery? Mine would get up to operating temperature, and then when I would turn it off and try to restart it, it would barely start, or not start at all. I replaced the battery and all was well. Good luck.

I put in a new 1000 CCA battery in march. It didn't happen for 3 months, then my wife called me at work to tell me it stuck her at Preschool with the kids. It'll crank strong all day long, I can hear the feul pump priming. I have checked every electrical connector I can find. Has anybody had a problem with the ignition slide switch.

I had the same problem about a year ago. took it to the shop and they replaced the electronic engine relay switch or something like that for about $6. never had a problem since.

Friend's 89 Honda Civic, same problem, same relay.
