I need to lift my rear suspension on my 01 sport around 1.5-2 inches. Shackles are out of the question to me as I hate the way the look. I'm really debating on purchasing the Carrier 2" high flex lift springs at $375 shipped.

Another option is an add a leaf but I still would like the truck to ride decent. For all you people at there that added a leaf how much did it affect your ride comfort?

Thanks Mac

it makes the already too soft back a bit stiffer, the plus is that handling is really improved.

i used have 2 procomp add a leaves per side and i hated the ride, way too stiff

I just ordered the carrier stock +2. they will be here in a week or two. I got tired of the sag, the blown shocks, and add a leafs are a temporary fix to me. F*** it, it is done right now. I will post about the ride quality and all that, anything is better than the lose ass i have now.

i thought the add-a-leafs improved my ride. stiffened up a bit but helped with the handling. not so much body lean/sway. throw some new shocks on and its like a whole new truck

I have the SkyJacker 2" lift kit AAL's.....

The ride in front is fine, of course, but goign over any speed bump or anythign like that sitting in the rear is a real adventure, its wayyyyy stiff back there, anything I throw back there is gonna be getting air and moving quite a bit.

It feels alot better than stock from up front, but if you have passengers in the back alot I wouldnt reccomend it, just too stiff.

Too Late I installed a set of Add a Leafs this past Saturday. I used the Pro-Comp $40 set and got around 1.5-2" of lift from them. They definetley stiffened the back up. I wish the ride was a little softer but it's not that bad on the street but off-roading may be a different story. Hey it now rides like by Buddies Factory stock Jeep Rubicon :)
