I been searching over and over again and only see explorer leafs going onto rangers, not vise versa. A guy I know sold his '90 ranger and never did get to install a brand new set of skyjacker softride 4" lift springs he had bought, So I was wondering if I could put these to any use? Part # is fr34s it's said that explorer springs on rangers give them a 1.5" lift and that the length and width are the same just different arches, but hey this is 4"s I'm taking about here....

I'm running skyjacker 6" Ranger leaves on my '94 Ex. They gave me about 4.5" of lift.
For them to work right I had to flip the locator pin and shims. The skyjacker axle shims were aluminum, they flexed too much and cracked while installing them. I had the machine shop at work make me a set out of steel. Havent had a problem since.
They are a little on the soft side for the street under the heavy Ex. It was a little too flexy for the street without the rear sway bar (I drive aggressively), I made a set of quick disconnects for it and kept the sway bar on while street driving. All in all I'm happy with the results.

So if I have the warrior shackles and add a leaf I should be good right? add a leak stiffen the leafs a lil bit and add a lil lift and the shackles....whats the prediction?

How high do you want to go?

FR34s should give you about 2.5" of lift. (IIRC FR34s are 4" springs.)
Warrior shackles should give you another 1-1.5", I think.
Add-a-leaf should bump you some more.... Lets say 1.5" (depends on the add-a-leaf).

All of that should give you about the same amount of life as flipping the axle and keep you spring under.
