Would you worry about this crack in Intermediate Band? 5r55e

Intermediate band with valve body removed, looking into area from below.
Not sure if this link is going to work or not. Just curious if this is something that will break soon.

I cannot really see it, but that it a damn tough area to photograph. In MOST cases a band breakage is due to a failed weld on the bracket. I have no experience to let me speak authoritatively, but I thihnk a crack in the band would be an unusual failure point.

But.. you have no choice. I'd continue to drive it. If the band breaks, you lose 2nd. You can get home. Replacement of that band is tear down time. (Past center support)Removal and tear down is Rebuild time.

ps... If you are worried I'd feather the accelerator at the 1-2 shift point.
