to answer the kids question instead of make fun of him like everyone else... find someone with a high lift jack or a tall bumper jack and carefully jack up the side that is sitting lower. the weight of the ex should streighten it out, it did on mine when i bent my bumper. you might have to remove the plasctic air dam though, as it might prevent you from jacking it up. oh yeah, and a little better grammar might help you get your question answered faster. oh, and Xplorerkid, your hardly one to talk ;)

well, dont go flying around the parking lot.... and if all you did was bend your bumper... you didnt wreck your truck... this is a wrecked truck

EDIT :: ahh yes the famous picture of jims rolled truck hehe

Hey you were mostly brits once. But I don't want to hi-jack this thread.

You've got to look and see which bit is bent. Probably just the support bracket. Either try the jack method or remove the bumper and the bracket starigten the bracket (in a vice with a hammer) and bolt it all back up.

Sorry, didnt mean to be a jerk! It's just a pain in the ass trying to read that jibberish. :D

Sorry to hear you wrecked you Ex

Okay, back to the question.

You might not need to jack it into place.
Ford Explorers have plenty of adjustment.
An 18mm wrench or socket, some grunting and groaning. Possibly a dirty word or two and you'll be all set.

I agree, if you are lucky and you didn't smack it too hard, you may be able to straighten it out by loosening the bolts and pushing it until straight again.

Best words of encouragement I have ever heard.:)

Thats whats gonna do it right there! Never found a problem a little cursing couldnt fix!! :p

I did a similar thing the last time I wen wheeling at Paragon. I slid down this really steep hill streight into a tree and it bent the bumper down (and cracked the grill and bent the hood, but whatever, that's what wheelings all about) But to fix the bumper I did what was described above and just jacked up the bumper on the sides with a high lift. Streightened it right up, well at least until I hit something else, I've just been to lazy to go out and do it again.

If you really want to work at it, you can take the bumper off, remove the mounting brackets and straighten them on the bench and reinstall. (Assuming they're the problem) Otherwise the brackets are fairly cheap to replace. From experience due to a rough intro to an Astro van last fall.
