Wrench light on 2006 Explorer

The past two days the wrench light has come on after sitting all night. I shut off the car, restarted and the light did not come back on. The car seems to be running normal. Hope someone can help me with this. The Explorer has around 112,000 miles on it.

Same thing happened to me today. Mine is explorer 2006..while coming back from a small road trip I felt as if the transmission was jerking while going from high to low or vice versa. While trying to diagnose this all of a sudden wrench light appeared in the dash. I check all the sensors fuse but still its the same. Anyone has any idea that what could be causing this strange behaviour. .

Also just to add there is no engine stalling or missing.. only transmission going crazy..
