note to self, never let 16 year old little brother whos had his license for a month borrow your car to go ANYWHERE. made that mistake the other day and he rear ended a durango which hit a caviler in front of it. my bumper had no usage in this accident because the durango bumper is so high, it just smashed up my whole grill area. grill, hood, radiator, fans, alternator assembly, power steering, left fender, etc. is all destroyed and who knows what else. the frame is also a littke fvcked up. $6,000+ in damages to my car. that and another few grand to the durango, and another $1,000 to the cavi. durango tranny was leaking and had rear damage from the impact, and front damage beacuse they hit the cavi. my insurance is gonna freeking skyrocket! luckily i have my 2000 mustang GT as my "spare car" heh. soo anyone got some extra parts laying around?

Sorry to hear that:( Good luck with your insurance:(

NO ONE , drives my Ex

Man that totally sucks, man. I'm not so much worried about the Explorer as much as I am with your insurance premium. Having a Mustang GT does not actually help your premium you know. In NY, even though your 16 year old brother does not own or is not listed as one of the drivers in your insurance he is assigned to the most expensive vehicle you own in your household. That's bad news. I hope everything turns out okay for you.

Aw man that sucks :(

I'm sorry to hear that- nobody drives my X, either. My GF begs me to let her drive it (she just got her license a little while ago)- i let her drive big parking lots.

i'll second that, specially with all the "custom" mods i've had to do.... no one else prolly could drive it, lol

yeah i wish i had a stick so then all at least some of my friends who wanted to drive my truck couldnt

I don't even let my girl drive my truck. My best friend is the ONLY one that drives it other than me.

Oh man...my girlfriend kept begging me to let her drive my truck. And here's the thing, she only has a permit. I let her drive a few times and now, I guess she's spoiled. She kept begging me and begging me and I kept telling her NO and she got very pissed at me. What do you guys think????

Let her drive your truck but one hand washes the other. *wink-wink* if you know what I mean.

it's not really my main car so thats why i let him. he can drive standard ok, and my truck is standard, so i let him. guess he didnt know how to drive it that well. my friends have asked me to drive it cuz they wanna see what it is like to drive a standard suv but i dont let them either. luckily, i just got a call from the body shop today and they said it doesnt need to be totalled. we will see what happends from here....

I agree with that totally. My sister constantly begs to borrow my Explorer. A month ago she rolled her Cavalier(she bought it exactly 3 weeks before that). Anyone that can roll a small car has no buisness driving my Explorer!!

im sorry to say, my x , which is mine really in a few years, is still my parents, so well, my brother is 13 and they let him drive around the farm. Well the kid can hardly see over the dash even if he sits on a damn pillow. Next thing he goes pretty damn fast (for offroad) over bumps, he catches my previous rut, which was now hardended mud, and almost goes outa control. I swear hes taking all my hobies, the truck, computers, and who knows what else....

But i got to stop him from driving it!

well i've learned my lesson, i will be the sole driver of my X.

The only time my girl has driven was when I took her car to the shop or I was severly drunk. I usually try for us to take her car if I am going to get drunk though. It's hard to take the x to some places because it's mostly parking garages. Anything under 7', I 'm not getting in there.

i'm the only person that drives my X. no if's ands or buts! yeah p's bought it but i customized it.

how about this one. NO ONE drive my x either, but my parents have an extra key hanging on out key thing on the wall. one day i come home and my X is gone. my brother has a POS 96 limited that he dont take care of and thats home.

Well about 5 minutes after i get home i hear my x rip around the corner and pull into my driveway. it was my little brother (had his license for a few months), he had to take his gf home and wanted to drive my truck.

I flipped out on him and told him when he puts countless hours of work and money into it then he can touch it and blah blah blah.... guess what he says to me...

Matt, IM A PIZZA DELIVERY BOY, I KNOW HOW TO DRIVE!

What a dumba$$!!!! i didnt know there was a special drivers license needed to be a delivery boy.
