my factory airbox and maf are one piece... unlike the 02-03's...


with the K&N filter, removed silencer, and extra drilled holes... its pretty much the same results, and it makes a noticable difference...

thats a nice looking x you picked out there. its too bad you put the sub right on top of the third row, thats something you would have loved to have. I went from now having one to having one to not having one and I miss it so much right now. Hell I miss my explorer so much right now. If i didnt commute almost 500 miles a week I would have gotten another one. Damn..now you made me jealous!

i rarely use my 2nd row seats as it is... the only reason i bought my original explorer was because i just dont feel comfortable in a car, an i simply like the look of the 3rd gens lol

also wanted to post that i will be getting my front windows tinted to match the factory rear...

i know the the rear is actually stained glass, but what rough percentage would it be ?

my guess was 20% ?

any idea ?

20% is perfect match! I only have 35% due to MO tint laws

Hmmm, guess we'll see how much power your muffler makes over mine at the strip pretty soon: We do need to get together to make an exhaust comparison vid. I am busy until the end of next week, so let's keep in touch and try to get together sometime around then? (I know I always say that)

OP- You'll be happy with your muffler and if not, you can always come back to the Flowmaster club

i just got my muffler in the mail about 3 hrs ago...

and i went back to the place i had my exhaust done before, and they quoted my exhaust 300$

300$, and thats not including the muffler...

considering i already bought the muffler, i think 300 is a little high. i went to them last time only because a few friends of mine said they do good work, and they are well known in my area for turning out some sick cars / trucks. my g-pop is a welder, and is very particular about his craft, even he was impressed with the weld job. so i guess i paid for quality...

will update further when i have more to report...

Zero i never had it installed yet...

i got quoted 300$... for install with 2.5'' pipe from the end of the Y-pipe back...


still thinking about just droping the resonator, and just running facotry pipe...

so undecided now lol
