I thought that was just the guys' testosterone talking, but apparently those are the magic words that actually keep damage from happening....something about reverse psychology on suspicion, lol

Muskrat was the first to run into problems, when he ran into small pond of muddy water that I >ahem< may have *directed* him into

Never seen someone act so fast..as soon as the water came over the hood, he had the truck off, Das Frem on the Cb and was out on the hood (all in under 10 seconds!!!) one quick yank and the danger ranger was loose, but wouldn't start

Rather disgusted at the amount of muddy water in his air filter, Muskrat tossed it into the bed, which is where Das Frem pulled it out of and decided to wring it out

After yanking out the air intake and several minutes of cranking, she finally sputtered to life, much to the relief of a very worried Rat...

lol Mikke! Actually, we had just come across another gang of Fords in the park and we were whooping it up....I thought the left side passing would be more showy and less deep than the right, so that's where I suggested that Rat run through..boy was I wrong

And then Das Frem, who recently quit smoking, had this strange desire to inhale as much of the steam from the exhaust as he could get

Oh yeah, I forgot what Muskrat had done earlier......someday when Lizard gets around to putting it up on his site, the video of how this came about is quite funny....

Just when we thought we were clear to have a few more hours of fun, The mighty skunk slipped into a deep rut on logging trail and very promptly bent the tie rod AND snapped the spindle off!

(this is another one of X24's...Lizard's expression is priceless!) (yes, we are laughing about it...now.....)

Not the best pic, but you get the idea....

Lizard used one of Rat's small ratchet straps to hold everything in place, but we still had to back down the trail and drive veeeeeeeery slowly back to the staging area, the tire wobbling in and out and all over the place the whole way. It ate through the first strap beofre we left, so Lizard had to re-rig it to hobble home with Rat leading the way and Das Frem following in case it broke again...all told, we were only wheeling at Paragon for maybe 3 hours it took just as many to get the Skunk back to camp Lizard.

Spas, I think you were the only one to come out of this trip with no damage. We all know what happened to Lizard and Muskrat, Dasfrem developed some mystery noises and I got either shot with a BB or hit with a rock. I went to my friends bodyshop today to have him check out the damage. It goes in on the 28th to get the dent out and be refinished.

Cool, man-glad to hear you're getting it fixed so fast! Be nice if I could get all my assorted dents and dings fixed

I guess I didn't pick up any damage...got a helluva rock collection in the bumper from trying out the 2wd in that gravel parking lot though

Spas, the wheel got bent after I went swimming, by the way, did I mention I swapped a hydrogen engine into my truck All in all, not a bad weekend, expensive, but fun. Chris, glad to hear that you're getting you dent fixed soon.
