I'm game if I can ride along w/ someone. I've been outta the loop the past 2 weeks 'cause I was down in Memphis, and then decided on a whim to spend last week in Galviston, TX with some friends on the beach. My seach for a second X with 4x4 has been put on hold until I can find a new job (I'm still with the same one, but I don't want to buy a truck when I'm thinking of quitting the job I have now)

Oh yeah, and while I was home I got to drive my mom's X, and when I drove down to TX I got to drive my friend's '98 X all 10 hours down and back, and he was nice enough let me drive it all around Galviston whenever I wanted to. Here's a pic of us all on the beach with the X (sans me).:

:thumbsup:Its better to run the hard stuff the first day...that way if you break, you have saturday night to fix it, get parts. Easy on the second day. Who wants to fix a broke truck while everyone else i going home and then you have to drive 2-or more hours home. :D

for the Warn hubs, just take it back to a warn dealer for a new one, they have a lifetime war on them if I'm not mistaken

on another note, my beast is getting together slowly, tranny arrived this afternoon, few misc parts on order still, motor, tranny, t-case should be inplace by the end of this week, and running by the end of the weekend if I can get the wireing done, only problem I might run in to for making the 24-25th run is getting the exaust system and my front drive shaft cut dow in time :(
so I might not make this run with my rig... which sucks....

Yeah thats what I heard, I'll have an extra set...if any blows a manual hub.

You will love the Atlas, it enables you to crawl up some great rock faces...just ask Lizardtrac...(where is he any way??)

I'm leaving from work in Jersey City at about 12:30 am, I'll be in Hazelton around 2:30. When were you going to leave?

Well, I should find out tonight if I can make it or not. Pulled the head of the Sammy last night :( because I found I was sucking water in cylinder #3. I'm taking some of my equipment home tonight to test the block for cracks. If the block is good, I'll be a happy camper cause either a head gasket or head isn't bad, but a new block.....ugh!! $$. If it's the block, it's time for another motor :shoot: and I probably won't be able to make the weekend.

Bobbed Ranger
I am not sure what time I am going to be leaving I will let you know in a few days, have to talk to the person that might be comming along with me

Well, the good news is NO CRACKED BLOCK :D!!! Looks like it's a head gasket, but the head is in the shop to be cooked out, checked for cracking and flatness, and won't be back until next Friday mad which means it won't be coming to Paragon. I may still come up with the X, but no river crossings this time. :p :p

Hear that Jeff, still have to make repairs:D

Doug, you forgot "Wheel over it" Spas, what day was that? You should have giving one of us a shout, we would have gladly dragged those chevy's into the woods, where they would never see the light of day again

Shaun, if I'd have had your #, believe me, I would have called ;) Ask Lizard-I called him in a panic the other day 'cause I couldn't remember if Miatas were rear wheel drive or not (Hey, I was desperate and I couldn't get ahold of anybody else, LOL)

Parli, you bringing 'Dr.Love' with ya again? Tell him I said "hi" :D

Jeff, bring the Exploder! It's be a pity to have done all that work to its underside and never tested it in the dirt....

Wolf, GIT THAT FRIGGIN THING DONE ALREADY, LOL

miatas should be driven over. And i think theyre RWD.

LMAO Should have left that POS. I would have paid to see Spas stuck in the shoulder with 2 chevy vans:D

Yeah, I kinda figured that out after I looked back and realized there was 500 feet of black skidmarks from the Miata's locked up rear wheels

I'll have to share some of my POS towing stories with you guys over some grub at DAMON'S (I just discovered that we have one down here! No one understood why I yelled out 'DINO'S!!!' though ;) )

Or is Lizard having another BBQ?

update:

Well i havent posted in awhile.... but im gonna have some BIG surprizes for you guys... haha. we are gonna break stuff.

Does big stand for 38s?
