Stock 1/4 mile and 0-60 times for a TON of cars!!! ^_^ Well, not all of them... But alot ;) OK this is just something i thought yall would find interesting. This is not my list and i do not take credit for it. List is by Mario777 of CarForums.net Zero to 60 & 1/4 Miles Times This collection of 0-60 and 1/4 mile times has been accumulated from many different sources over the past few years. These sources include vehicle testing done by "the experts" at Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Road & Track, various written auto publications and from the auto manufacturers themselves. The list below provides "factory stock" road test figures for most of the Makes & Models of "production" vehicles that are available in the United States...
PLEASE ONLY PM ME WITH YOUR NEW OR UPDATED TIMES/MODS. If you only post your mods/times they will most likely be overlooked and not added. This is the official ET/MPH list. PM me any relevant info on your run, aka time slips and videos. Also list your mods, try and follow the format you see below. If you dont have the time to follow the format, ill organize your info, but any help is appreciated. Suggestions are welcomed. We will use only vehicles relevant to this forum. I only used 1/8th on my personal run because I have not hit the 1/4 yet, but send what you have. Lets get a list going guys and gals... Stock, modified, whatever!!!! I sent them an email,Pro street, get one back, ya man it can work but you may have some problems, I call them on the phone, ask some questions, like tell me about dry VS wet nitrous,I dunno says the guy that sends out the emails, let me turn you over to the tech guy, tech guy says, give me a minute, will look it up, he comes back, very honest fellow says i really cannot answere the question because i do not know the answere. So I get the feeling they have not a clue, so i ask if they have a system for my application, abosolutly, we can set you up with all the right stuff you need, so I ask what I need, the techie starts talking about nitrous amplifiers and all sorts of jive ****, so I ask what is a nitrous amplifier, he said he will...
Lets say it is a Daily Driver 99-01 5.0L (explorer motor) that is getting rebuilt & the owner is concerned a stroker kit will affect mileage - Truth to it? If a stroker motor is out of the subject, what could be done to the motor while keeping the stock displacement and adding good power in the low end? Lighter weight rotating assembly with Camshaft/rocker arm upgrades? A kenne bell blower sounds nice as well... What would you guys do? If i ever swap a 5.0 in my ranger it would be rebuilt (of course) but i would want something that GOES (feels peppy) while still getting respectable mileage. I have often though about a 331 stroker, but wouldnt that hurt mileage? Or am i way off? If there aren't too many options avalible i'd...
Yep, that's right! You know what that sound is? It's the sound of this sub-forum waking back up. That's what!!! ;) Depending on my military situation I hope to be knee deep into the Kenne Bell Explorer in about 6 months. Also planning on doing some form of FI for the 4.0 V6 Explorer Sport; probably going to be a ported Eaton M90 supercharger system on about 7-8 psi. I also plan to be doing more work to the TT G8 but that is not an Explorer so to hell with talking about that here! :p: I cannot wait to hopefully finally get back to living in my own home and building performance vehicles in my own garage! Maybe do a turbo system or two on some local Explorers if I can convince a few soccermoms that they will get...
Dom, You got to post your update in here man,.......with pictures if you got them. You have the 2nd fastest X on this site besides Troll, and now I know you have an XB-1A too! I do feel ya on the small fortune but at least let myself and the others take a look at that bad boy! Maybe even an under the hood shot or two? Hehe. And I thought I was slacking in the updates department. ;) :p Take care buddy and I hope to see you in here soon.
I contacted Explorer Express the other day about their supercharger for the Sohc model X. They replied with "The 4.0 X-CHARGER for a 01 Sport is $3995." It runs at 6psi and the supercharger is an Eaton MP62. Do you think if you have no idea of how to do this yourself and you cannot find anyone else to do it for you, it is worth the money for the kit? Should add somewhere in the ballpark of 80 and up horsepower. I have a few power adders already done.
Hello Everyone, Well I'm getting closer to my goal of the 12's. I ran 10 times at Morosso and most were around 13.5 @ 100. The truck is running great, I need to get some slicks and a different stall converter. The blower is putting out 9psi. I also can't brake torque the transmission because once the S/C comes on I lose breakpressure (The brakes don't work under boost). The supercharger was blowing temps at around 270* down the intake's throat, so I think an aftercooler is a good idea. The track temp ranged from a low (last run) 85* to 93*. My new intduction worked great, only added a max 10* to the (basically ambient) track temp. The cold air induction has made a huge improvement. Overall it was hot and muggy. Wait till November...
Basicly I want to know if anybody knows of any performance parts that are out there, or in production for teh 4.6 3v motors in the Explorers. I know its a new motor to the explorers, but am surprised I have not been able to find much of anything. Are we able to share any parts with the Mustangs? So far, I have found one exhaust, a modified stock throttle body, and the KKM. Sharing the Mustang motor, I was hoping to see a larger selection of "fun" mods.
Long story short, me and my bud went out cruisin, him in his 5.0L stang and me in my SOHC and ended up at a line up of 4 cars consisting of us 2, an S2000 and a miata. Mustang got first but I beat(by a LONG shot) the S2000 and the miata was way too far back to see. Well not THAT far cuz it wasnt that long of a road but damn I beat an S2000 I thought they were fast:rolleyes: oh well. Then, found a huge long open stretch and raced my buddies 5.0 1 on 1. And oddly enough I had him up to 100km/h(65ish mph). I heard his tires spin a little off the line but not much. By the time we had to slow down(my speedo said 160km) he was about 4 car lengths ahead. We all knew my truck was fairly fast but we were super surprised after that night. It...
last night i was on my way to a dance competition (my girlfriend was in it) i left my dorm and turned left onto mill avenue (the main drag here in tempe, for about a mile there are restaurants and stores lining both sides of the street) i noticed a black sp8 waiting to turn left onto mill at one of the lights as i passed and i slowed down so that it would catch up after it turned so i could see it. i got caught in the left lane at the light at mill and university (one end of the major shopping area) and the saleen pulled up right beside me. i looked over but i couldn't see in at all and couldn't tell who was driving or what they were thinking i bumped ja rule a minute then turned it down, deliberately hit the fake nos remote bottle...
