Stock 1/4 mile and 0-60 times for a TON of cars!!! ^_^ Well, not all of them... But alot ;) OK this is just something i thought yall would find interesting. This is not my list and i do not take credit for it. List is by Mario777 of CarForums.net Zero to 60 & 1/4 Miles Times This collection of 0-60 and 1/4 mile times has been accumulated from many different sources over the past few years. These sources include vehicle testing done by "the experts" at Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Road & Track, various written auto publications and from the auto manufacturers themselves. The list below provides "factory stock" road test figures for most of the Makes & Models of "production" vehicles that are available in the United States...
Good day, I have the need for speed but unfortunately I don’t know how fast I am going. I have a 302 swapped 2 door sport with no working Speedo I was wondering if anyone can help me. It’s a 97 body 00 5.0 engine and ecu 04 mustang transmission 4r70 8:8 rear i did the swap 5 years ago, I remember I had to pin out the tach in order to get it to read correctly but I don’t remember having to do it for the Speedo. it has the sensor in the rear. I swapped it out with a new one but had no effect. im new to the forums and was not sure were to post this but since the truck was built with the idea of speed implied I figure I would come here. thank you.
How much can be done to a 5.0L explorer without requiring tuning? Doing the swap on my '99 Ranger. Longblock I'm going to use initially is from a '98 Explorer, everything else is from a '00 Explorer. The '00 Explorer engine will be saved and built for later installation, and truck will be tuned then. Don't really want to be stuck with only what's left of the stock 215 HP until then. I recall reading several years ago when I got the '98 engine, that using 1.7 rockers with the Explorer cam put it about on par with a stock Mustang cam. The engine was purchased for a different project that never happened, but the plan was always to use Explorer EFI and really build the engine later. With that in mind I purchased and installed a set of...
OK, I know this isn't the right section but I need some visibility. 2015 F-250 Company Truck (106,000 Miles) Had a rough start issue on colder mornings so I figured spark plugs. Since it's a lease truck we can't work on them. Dealer came back and said spark plugs and the Electronic Throttle Body is failing. Never had any symptoms of that. Parts will not be available till Wednesday. Monday I am scheduled to go back to Miami (1,000 Miles and 13 Hours 1 way) We have an F-250 in the shop yard that I could use but I would have to transfer about 1,000 lbs of service tools that I need for the job. A real turd of a job because I basically live in my truck. QUESTION: Anyone have experience with a failing throttle body? Do they just go...
so i have a 2 door sport, 302 swapped with some tasteful mods and some nitrous. So I started off with a zex kit. Upgraded to a nos sniper kit. The thing is with the zex kit I was able to tie into my TPS sensor and have nitrous activate while only at WOT With the nos sniper kit I was given a micro switch that is activated by the throttle body lever that closes the circuit for the solenoids when activated at WOT Has anyone mounted a micro switch? If so how did you got about it. Thanks
Finished up my m90 and just ordered some new oil for it. Should be good to go. In preparation for actually installing a supercharger, or a turbo, I'm sure everyone wants to add some gauges. I think boost/vacuum and AFR are pretty important. I would like to have some input from others on which vehicle components should be monitored when going with forced induction. I personally plan on using two PLX DM-6 gauges, which can connect to 16 sensors each, but I want two so that I can simultaneous display boost and AFR. I like that they are really thin and plan on installing them on the gauge bezel; they should only cover the PRNDL Haha. I don't want this post to be about which brand is best. I mentioned my plan to keep everyone updated with...
Hopefully this will be my last thread before the swap actually begins. Copying & Pasting from my thread on TRS because I know there is a lot of experience here that doesn't seem to visit there much. Thinking about @410Fortune in particular. Will likely post in other forums and groups as well to collect as much information as possible. I'm preparing for my engine swap to hopefully start in about a month. Planning for the week of president's day and to have the full week to dedicate to the swap. The intent is to roll the donor into the shop on a Saturday, and roll out a V8 swapped Ranger on the following Saturday or Sunday. I will have a few weekends following to iron out issues, but it would be best if it's moving under its own power...
So ive recently decided to cam swap my explorer, and messaged comp cams about my idea, and had them recommend me a kit (k35-349-8 xe264hr cam) including guide plates, rockers, springs etc. I have a question about the studs, will i need extended studs, or will my stock studs work? Im not very good with cams and cranks, so this is still kind of new to me. Any suggestions would be great. I have read that the studs were extended to 6.3s or somewhere around there, but they also had some headwork done, will i need the same even though i have stock heads?
So I've been fighting with throwing codes and lack of performance the past couple weeks in the truck. I'm getting annoyed....OK that's a lie, I'm past annoyed. Haha I've reflashed the ecu, swapped in new Bosh o2 sensors and I'm still throwing a PO1100 code. I have gotten all the other codes under control but drivability is becoming an issue now. I'm able to drive it fine if I don't bring it up into the 6,000rpm range, but where's the fun in that? If I bring it up to 6,200rpm during a hard run it stutters BAD between shifts and when power comes back it's only about half what it should be for my truck. I've got a dyno appointment for Aug 10th so unfortunately I won't be able to get any track time until after then. I have...
Hey guys, I'm finding it difficult to find anything on this so i thought i would just start a new thread. I'm new so I apologize for anything i'm about to say that sounds ignorant....BUT, Is there anyone who knows about the dangers of using a chip or removing the governor(the thing that ruins your fun when you hit 110 mph) as far as whether the axles can handle it or if anything has been know to catastrophically malfunction...I wanna go fast but I just don't want to die the first time I do. What should i upgrade first? I'm ordering some basic upgraded parts(intake, exhaust, injectors,...); I just want to know if there's anything i should add to the list.
