I was wondering how you go about replacing the bearing that joins the front drive shaft to the transfer case? I have some up and down play there and not sure what's causing it.

Not 100% sure but I have rebuilt many of the older Borg Warner transfer cases, and you need to remove from vehicle, split open and disassemble. Then you must release the circlip that holds the front output shaft in. Once that is out you can replace the seal & bearing in the usual manner.

You're not referring to the CV joint are you? That is much simpler to repair.

If you mean the CV axles where they meet the front differential then no. The issue I'm having is when I grab the front drive shaft and give it a shake, there is some play in it at the transfer case. I am assuming its the bearing but could be completely wrong.
