Looking for 2nd gen tranny

Well after 268,x.. miles the tranny is finally toast on our '96. Wondering if anybody has any leads to a decent replacement. The engine is still running strong so we are thinking about just replacing the transmission instead of buying a new car right now. Im located around the Firestone/Longmont area. Please gimme a holler if you have any leads and/or suggestions. Thanks fellas!!

Check out Elliotts towing just south of highway 52 on Colorado Blvd. Last time i was there they had a few explorers.
