Can anyone tell me what the little black box is on the drivers side frame rail just under the fire wall. It's attached with two oversize bolts and is plugged into the wiring harness that runs to the rear diff. The FORD number on it is; F37A-2C341-AD

Thanks,

Harl

In an explorer the only thing in that location that I can think of is the ABS module, but its not exactly a "box". Do you have a picture of the offending device?

I'm just stripping excess crap from my 98 Explorer, and came upon this unit. The only place Google lead was this thread

Anyone know the answer?

Parts catalog says a base number 2C341 is a "Switch Assy- Brake Anti-Lock Deceleration".

Brake Anti-Lock Deceleration it is.... My plan is to replace my rear only ABS system currently in the B2 with 4 wheel ABS out of a 94 Explorer.

thanks for your help,

Harl

Thank you!
