How to remove 5R55E DTR Sensor (PIC)

I'm having a problem getting the DTR off the shaft. The book says just remove the 2 screws to take it off. I've tried to lift it off but it won't budge. I tried some blaster liquid along with a small wire brush.

I don't want to force it and brake it.

Is there another way it comes off?

Neutral position?

I believe the manual lever should be in the Neutral position for removal and installation of the DTR sensor.

I've tried each position but no luck. I don't know which position is neutral. If I turn from the left counter clockwise how many clicks clockwise?

They seize on there, you will need to pry off or break it off. There is no saving it usually.

I did one of those, and had to use a good bit of spray lube, and some patient wiggling. YMMV

I used plenty of liquid wrench and a brush let it sit over night still would not budge.

Finally got it off by plenty of force side to side but ruined the bushing doing so!

There was no other way.....
