Thanks for any info or tips!

I have a 2001 Explorer Sport Trac 4x4

Recently my coolant temp sensor went bad and before I could fix it I developed a leak.

I've since replaced the sensor and thermostat.

The weird thing is some days I get just drips other days I lose quite a bit of coolant.

I'm having trouble pinning down where the leak is since I have minimal tools.

But I've noticed coolant spray on my air filter housing, serpentine belt squeals after getting wet ( I assume with coolant) and liquid on the plastic housing of the radiator. I suspect it's coming from the upper hose but I'm not sure.

I'll post pics.

If this in fact the problem area and if it's not the hose could it be that old clamp? And is that clamp too far down on the hose to form a good seal?

Thanks for any tips or advice!

Check the valley. If its green it's probably the thermostat housing. If not the plastic tanks like to separate from the metal housing and leak. My guess is one of the two.

Sorry I'm not quite sure what you mean by the last part about the tanks. Which tanks are you referring to? Thanks for the help!

There is a plastic tank on the left and right side of the metal rad. The seams give way and leak.
I see what you mean. If it is leaking it's in a spot that's gonna be a pain to get at. Thanks again for the help man!
