2011 Ford Ranger Air Conditioning

I bought this truck last summer. It has 190,000 miles on the chassis, but 125,000 miles on the engine. The air conditioner clutch engages every 30 seconds or so when the dashboard switch is in any position except off. That is, if the switch is on any of the air flow choices, but not on the AC "on" or MAX AC "on" position, the clutch still engages periodically. If the dash switch is turned to the off position, the clutch does not engage.

I would like to hear from those who are familiar with this problem.
