Hi!
This is my first post and to make it worthy, I am also asking a question to solve a serious problem.
My transmission did not shift correctly- it would not shift in a higher gear until I released the gas pedal. Then it shifted into a higher gear. Also, the O/D light was flashing.
I spoke to some people and they recommended to change the valve body gaskets. I did that along with the transmission fluid and filter.
Now, the vehicle won't go into reverse. It goes forward only, no neutral either.
The only good thing is that O/D light is not flashing anymore.
The truck is stuck in my garage so I am unable to take it for test ride and I don't even know whether the transmission shifts as it should be.
So, what went wrong? Any ideas? Thanks! Ladislav
