- 2002 Ford Explorer
Hey folks,
Big thanks to the active forum members. This is a great place for fellow lovers of the Explorer. I have been having A/C issues for some time. Now I'm sure most of you at this point are already thinking to yourself "blend door actuator" but I don't believe that is the problem. My A/C has two problems and they may or may not be related. I have a stock 2002 Ford Explorer.
The first is that the air in the front of the car is always on defrost setting no matter which zone setting I have it set to. Whether I switch the knob to floor, max a/c, or the various other positions, most of the air comes out of the front defrost vent with a tiny amount coming out of the front panels.
The second problem is that the second row of seats only gets cold air. If I change the temp to hot, nothing changes and the air that continues to blow is still cold.
I'm a noobie to this type of problem and don't even know where to start. Thanks in advance for your help. Ya'll are the best.
