Looking for a speaker amp..

Hey, my components are coming soon and my 1600w amp is probably a little too powerful. I was told to use 125-175 x 2 @ 2ohm and am having some trouble finding the right amp. Any suggestions?

what kind of speakers are you getting and what in is the rms on them?

I'm getting a set of CDT EF-61CFi components rated @ 140w RMS.

I've been considering the MA Audio HK-297.. Since I liked the 1397 I thought it might be a plan to stick with the same company.

go for at least the hk397, I have a 297 right now and IMO a touch more power for components would be nice....
But the 297's are cheap on ebay, that's where I got mine.

Would I be safe with the 397? 2 x 250 @ 2ohm seems a little high for my 140w RMS components

I didn't realize your components were 2 ohm, so ya the 297 would prolly work then, I have mine running at 2 ohms running all 4 coaxials at the moment till I decide what I'm doing with my stuff....
