Hello; new to the forum, you people have a great site to help each other out.

I own a 07 Explorer Eddie Bauer 4x4 V8.
It has been a really great car and still is, but with a gripe that is.

The battery was defective due to age and I had the car with the passenger window open for two days and nights while I purchased a replacement battery.
I hooked it up and the car started flawlessly. Thats when I realized the onboard (trip) computer was going through its functions (like pressing the INFO button on the dashboard) very fast, cycling around the menus and going crazy by itself. I can drive the car without an issue and the computer is still going like crazy almost a month since this started to happen. When it does stop, I try to push the buttons but the INFO and SETUP ones do nothing, and the RESET button does what the INFO button is supposed to do, cycle through functions.

I mention that I had to left it with the window open because maybe there is some humidity inside the buttons itself, but that seems very unlikely now a month later.

I have already reset the ECU, left the battery completly disconnected for a night and the problem did not go away.

Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!!!
