Time to do a major check up

Hi all,

I've got 147k+ on my 96, still running pretty good. The check engine light has been on for about 2 years HA! But it still runs fine, a little rumbly in idle.

Would like suggestions as to what I should have done to the beast to make it last another 50K. Is there a checklist for the 150K range?

A good start would be pulling the code from the CEL and fixing whatever problem that is....

welcome to the site,have the code run at the parts store. At least that will point yah in a direction.

You can also change your plugs and wires, fuel filter, switch all fluids to synthetic, flush your diffs, clean your air filter, run some seafoam, etc. Run a few searches on preventative maintenance, or go to this thread:
