NWExplorers BBQ

Me and the wife washed both X's today, gettin' them ready for Saturday.

The weather is supposed to be a bit on the soggy side this weekend....I guess we'll see how well this new rubber I got does in the rain.

I'm in for sure, bringing BF with me... But Nimby isn't lookin too pretty these days so beware... lol... See you guys in the mornin!

Looking forward to meeting you guys (and gals).....

It still looks like I'm the only 'streeter' that will make a showing......I also think I'm the only one bringing 2 X's...

Ryan

Well the X is sorta clean (who cares it's going to be raining anyway) and we are all hungry. :D

I skipped dinner tonight as I was to damn occupied and irritated trying to flare all of my transmission lines to install auxillary coolers. Hmm and I had other things to do, but sadly I have no skin on my knuckles left after that fiasco so screw it. It's kinda hard to get your hands between the radiator and ac condenser

Guess I'll see y'all in the morning. Hopefully I won't be too hung over  I seemed to make a 1/2 bottle of tequila and a 6 pack dissapear with the help of a buddy to eliminate my frustration. In reality it is probably what caused the bleeding knuckles :p

We are heading out the door right now....

mmmm.....bar-b-cue........mmmmmm

Ryan

still have the drill press laying around...call me if you want it. 206 229 1234

Ryan, are you going to make it for some eats?

Well.. we are back and recovered form eating too much.........
Zaira (the wee one) made me go back and get her more beans and cornbread

That be some good grub
Several of us met the man, and I think a few may regret that tomorrow

Unfortunately my pictures didn't look that great. Too dang hard to get all them X's in the frame and get any detail with a cheap digi camera. But here's the group.

I think my truck got a bit of an inferiority complex sitting between Siekyre and DWD. Must be time to get busy on an axle swap, though I'm kinda scared to jump into my truck without any previous knowledge and a pre-made kit. My buddy seems to have infinite delays getting the Toyota parts all together. I finally started cleaning his axle up, but now I need the swap kit, and a few tools. Possibly mine is first ;) .
Well first I have fish to catch this summer, then we'll start thinking about that :bounce:

Thanks everyone for coming out. We'll have to get together again in a bit drier weather this summer. Possibly at a campground or such for a weekend :D

Hey Ryan, you should hear from me in a bit, gotta do a quick budget analysis.

Post more pics.

Well we made it back home safe and sound and yes it's still freakin raining down here too!! Nothing like 170+ mile long rain cloud, seesh

Anyhow, it was kewl meeting everyone and now being able to put a face to the name ;) We are looking forward to a little camping/wheeling trip in June. I promise to 'try' and get the front gear change before then :p LOL

Well after hanging out in Bellevue for a few, and got some shopping done, we headed home.

As I took the SR-16 exit from I-5 a Toyota Tacoma that was 4 cars in front of us (I was in the lead) took the offramp a bit too fast, and spun out wrecking his truck. Everyone in front of us locked `em up, I had no chance to stop in time, but I narrowly avoided an accident by pulling to the right hand shoulder, while I was still hitting the brakes passing the car that was in front of me. I was in the clear. I look in the rear-view mirror and see my wife hitting them hard too, with an big rig right behind her....she was mere INCHES from being hit by that truck. As I jumped out to check on the guy that wrecked, I left my keys in the ignition, with the engine on, and I shut my door. I have no door handles. And for some reason the spare remote that my wife had with her wasn't working to 'pop' my doors open....turns out the big rig that almost hit my wife was an empty flat-bed tow truck. He was able to load up the totalled Tacoma, AND get me back into my X in a matter of 10 minutes.

We made it home safe & sound, nerves a bit shaken, but safe none-the-less.

It was GREAT meeting you guys, now my wife has this crazy idea to lift her green X, THANKS ALOT! lol :D

Ryan

Ryan, check your PM's

I'll have some extra lift parts. AAL's and shackles plus NEW JD shocks (I just ordered RS9000X's)

That takes care of the back and the shocks. All you need now is something for the front, unless she wants to get really serious with a SAS and SOA

dreamr- If you got the $$$ for parts I may be able to get you in a deal for free labor and fab work, you would need to leave your vehicle at a bussiness for a while. this would be a R&D for a SAS kit for explorers.

Thanks to all that showed up, and to those that couldn't make it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :( you missed some great food and great people. we almost had the lot full of Explorers

Glad Gina could make it from the North, wish Crankcase and ld50 could have been there. You are a brave girl to meet the "MAN', how's your tummy??

Special thanks to the Oregon folks. That's a long drive in the pouring rain. When my lift is in, I'll drag Dreamr with me and come down to Tillamook.

I appologize profusely for having a dead battery in my camera or we would have a ton of pictures to post.

It was interesting that most were First Gens, only 1 second (Dreamr) and 1 third (tytanutt94) out of the ten.

It took me a while to recognize DWD, I wasn't expecting THAT color  but man does it look good. Nobody can miss Kevin in the woods!

Glad all are safe, especially Spdrcer34 - he & she.

I had to stop at McDonalds on the way home for Monkey Boy  He had fun with the Siekyre kids and Zaira,,,,,,,, when he wasn't watching TV  Right now he's drawing and coloring Easter eggs.

Keep and eye on the Naches thread (Naches ) as we bring it together and don't forget the Faithwheelers Obstacle Course !!

See Y'all on the trail or the highway.

:navajo:

Really??

Tell me more, and I'll start doing research on parts costs. Damn I wish I could have got the tracer running last winter for a DD. Now I might have to buy a mustang :D .

Are we talking coil, leaf, or what????

I'm pissed I missed all the fun! A friend of mine got his damn Mark VIII stuck in the snow Friday night on the east side of Stevens, so Saturday morning I had to bail him out. I have the only 4X4. I will have to meet everyone at the next get together. When will that be?????
