Second for those coming eastbound bound from borrego springs. For those with motor homes the western entrance might be easier to enter on depending on condition of the road.

The 2nd signs road is much smoother so you can get a motorhome in, but then you can also make it back to where the pic shows from there. I don't care. . whoever gets there first picks the spot.

Yeah, the 2nd sign is only about 200 yards up. Paul went that way with his RV.

Yea, that first close sign turn off is to sharp of a turn for a big coach, so you have to go to the second turn off and go in away's and turn around and then go back to the first turn off That second turn off is not a bad area either for camping, if it's available. Hope to have the rig done by the Feb. run, if not then TDS.

That first turn off was also badly eroded last time we camped there, and any big rig hitting it tipped over pretty good.

Firewood Galore

Well My paremts lost they're front tree today, I remember growing up with that tree, It was a large Maple tree. It's been going down hill for awhile though, The center of the tree was starting to hollow, so they cut her down. Very sad

On the good side though we will have firewood for the next few truckhavens:

I'll have wood too, at least what I can fit into the bed of my truck. I had to get rid of one of the trees in my yard since it was growing at a slant and tearing up the sprinklers

yea, green wood normally takes several months to dry enough to burn.

However, we get such a hot fire, I think it will burn anyway..

We'll see...I cut it up pretty good, it sits in the sun all day plus we've had very low humidity lately so some of the smaller branches may work. I'll save the trunk and larger stuff for the big run.

Bill, you still interested in those coil buckets and shock mounts? You can have them and I can bring them out this weekend if you'd like. I also got my old Skyjacker TTB coils if you want those as well. They are the 6" lift coils but I did cut a rung off the top in attempt to lower my ride height but I never got to try them out after cutting them so I don't know how much lift there will be...in any case, they are yours if you want em.

Well then, I guess I won't be bringing the 3.5 quart bottle of Double ******* that has been aging in my fridge for over one year. I will have to bring it some other time.

Not coming out this weekend, I chosse the longer of the two runs I got to do a few things to the truck this weekend. It's no biggie, I'll hold on to it till the next time I see ya.
