My step-dad got his hands on a decent '03 Mountaineer for right under 10k. Its a white color.. not just flat white like my SHO, kinda got a pearish tint to it. Its nice. Its a 4.6 AWD! :D Its the Premier edition. Its nice. But its got a few little problems. But hey, its a used car. Its got ~110k on it. I just snapped a few pix and i should have them up in a little while.

Sweet! (Is it pearish or pearlish?) Will it be street or lifted? One more, what are you going to do with the current Ex?

Pearlish, shorry. It's my step-dad's, so unless I do something, its staying that way. And I don't have one.

nice.

I remember when my engine looked that clean :(.

anyone know the best type of place to get my engine steam cleaned?

Nice Mounty! Now bend that antenna mast back. Stupid car washes- that's why I always take my mast off when I go through. :D

simple green does wonders for engines. spray sit rinse thats it. really soak the greasy spots.

the white mounty look like my white ones twin exactly identical

I agree with Macknos- I use Simple green on my Ex, and all of my previous 8 SHO's. I won't let a pressure washer near 15 year old electrical connectors. I had one bad experience trying to get a post-pressurewashed engine acting right for 3 months after a washing, I won't do that again. I know some people love it, and it works perfectly for them, but I'll error on the side of personal sanity. :)

I find it strange that your engine cover has 'V8' on it.
Usually the Mounties have the mercury symbol and the explorers had the V8.

nope... I have an 2002 mercury mountaineer V8 awd as well and my engine has the big old V8 on it too like this one... they all do from 2002-present if you have the V8

by the way, extreamly nice Mounty... heres my Mounty Permire as well!..

Yip no Mercury symbol.....We'll we're both right :D
I knew there was a difference in the Explorer vs Mountaineer covers. Explorer uses the "classic?" style logo

The lower picture is one I added to my 04 V8 as Ford stopped putting them on in 03.
The reason was in 04, we have a "Drive by wire" throttle so there is nothing mechanical under the hood to move with your hand to increase revs.. .therefore, no cover needed... But I liked the look so much on my Dads 02, I had to have one for my 04.
