Well Kinda...

My Expy hasn't seen a trail since the Moab 2000 trip. Since then, with the exception of moving it from storage to storage, and a few half hearted attempts to sell it, it has been pretty much just sitting around collecting dust and became a big storage box of related parts. Well I decided to change that last week. I pulled it out of storage, put a new battery in it, and drug it out to Glamis for Thanksgiving.

She ran as well as could be expected for a truck that sat for 9 years (few creeks and groans at first) but the lockers still worked and she went everywhere I asked her too. I had a complete blast and am actually considering getting back into this again.

Sadly the Expy' strip ended a day early. I let a guy from camp borrow it to go to Olds and he somehow smoked the clutch. I wasn't there so I don't know what happened.

Actually not anymore. I was, but than last Feb they shut my office down and my options were to transfer to out Irving Tx office or be unemployed. Given the economy and the poor severence package offered, I choose the transfer.

One of our manufacturing campuses is in Tj, so I am still in San Diego several times a month though.

The Expy isn't much to see these days. It was pimp back in it's day, but I haven't touched it since 2000. It's pretty lame by today's standards.

..Mine is lame too...:biggthump

..I hope you plan on getting the clutch fixed soon...We have a run in a couple weeks in AZ. and a Truckhaven run for around MLK day...;)

Welcome back sir. I work in Plano and live up North in Celina.

Not sure how quickly I will be getting it back on the road. When I first moved out to Texas last spring I had my trailer stolen. The trailer was recovered but I lost all my personal property including over $30k in tools and the ins company found ways to weisel out of paying for any of it. So repairs aren't the easiest task for me right now.

I would love to get back on a group run though. Maybe by summer I will able to do a complete shakedown on the truck and ger it trail ready once again.
