I hate fixing things when I have no visual guide. So I couldn't find any visuals on this so I gave it a try and it worked out sooooooo hope this helps anybody who was looking to do the same.

BEFORE YOU START I SUGGEST GETTING THIS TOOL CONSIDERING THERE ARE 4 SCREWS YOU NEED TO GET OUT

I PRYED THE CONSOLE OFF FROM THE CLIPS CLOSEST TO THE WINDSHIELD ONCE THEY POPPED THE OTHER 2 CAME RIGHT OUT. THERE ARE 2 POWER CORDS, ONE FOR THE LIGHTS AND THE OTHER FOR THE SUNROOF IF YOU HAVE ONE. I SUGGEST WHEN YOU UNHOOK THESE WIRES YOU BE GENTLE.

I WAS INSTALLING LED LIGHTS AT THIS POINT. I INSERTED THE POWER SUPPLY BACK IN JUST TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE HOOKED UP CORRECTLY BEFORE SCREWING BACK ON SINCE THERE WAS NO NEG/POS LABELS ON THESE I GOT OFF EBAY SO I HAD TO PLAY A LITTLE BIT.

THIS IS HOW IT LOOKS BEFORE I SCREWED IT BACK ONTO THE CONSOLE.

Had to wait until night. They are pretty bright for the size they are. I also did the license plate lights too.

Got the LED's on EBay. Just searched for lighting accesories for my truck. I bought the first set just to see how they would turn out and now I just ordered 2 more sets for the rear dome because I liked how they came out. I also have bought the LED's for the puddle lights...I hope thats not a huge pain in the ass.

Sweet led's

Thats soooo sweet! plan on doing the ones in the back? Thanks for showing that. Can you tell us what led's they are? lol. looks like you beat my post. how hard were the licence plate? Same LED?

Yea I just ordered more for the rear passenger dome lights, so I'll post probably next week. The license plate LED's were real easy. 2 screws to take off the cover on each side, then just pull bulb and insert LED in it's place. The license plate LED looked similar to this and I found them on EBay just by typing in my make and model....

Cops love to stop me for my led licence plate light just to give you a heads up ad yours is way brighter than mine.

Why would anyone get pulled over for a license plate light? That sounds retarded. That being said I'm pretty sure I'll get pulled over now, hahaha.

Its LED so to the cops its a distraction for other drivers and can cause an accident. In my opinion dont look at my license plate then and you wont crash. lol

I did my license plate and the lights under the outside mirrors(if thats the puddle lights)

I had too take my mirror off too get them out, if u find an easier way im killing you haha

Those F'ers are bright....comeon, get on ebay and show me exact link, cuz i want them now

My thoughts exctactley Digger hahahaha!

Skip the puddle lights came today so I might try tonight or in the morning to put them in. I'll let you know how it goes. I'd rather crack the friggin thing than take the mirror apart to be honest. Im gonna look now for the lights on ebay and post a link for ya.

I was taking my door panels off thinking theres no way Ford designed it this way too need panels off too change light right there.

Pretty ghey if i did that for nothing haha

Thanks for links, ordering now, cuz mine suck balls

Im still at work but had to give it a whirl....cracked one a lil but the other one pretty much popped right out. I'll send pics later on when I install the LED's.

I just did this and my front dome light leds have a very dim glow to them when the dome light is off. Have you experienced this? Or know what might be causing it? It even does it while the car is completely off. i don't have the roof console light like you do, just the one above the front seats. The rear light does not do this however.

Removing Puddle Lights

You do not need to remove the mirror to do this.

This picture is from the Signal Mirror How To. That's why the mirror has been removed.

Keep the mirror on the Ex and insert the blade as shown, then push up and away from door and the lens will pop out. Then twist the socket out of the lens to remove the bulb.

Be very careful with the razor blade so you don't cut yourself! If you are having trouble with the razor blade then using a very thin, small screwdriver might be the way to go! Mine popped out very easily with the razor blade. That's why I suggest using it. Better to be safe than sorry.

Hope this helps out.

Did you use the same LED kits for the front dome, rear dome and puddle lights?
