explorer sport pics

My first X "Gumball". Shes a 2000 sport w/ 141xxx miles and is still stock...for now ;) I've had her for 3 days and so far have put on new: front brakes, front rotors, 1 caliper, rainx latitude wiper blades and a new battery. I have ordered a console kit to fix the cracked material and will be putting new tires on. :D

Future plans:
repaint cargo rack
new headlights
led interior lights
double din headunit
speakers

Kristy, nice find, how did you find one so clean in MinaSoda?

Mine, 100% Stock, as far as I have been able to tell. But, I think I will tint the front windows to match the back.
177,000 miles on it.

kristy - if you are going to repaint the rack, try using truck bedliner. i used it on my old truck and it worked awesome and it doesnt scuff off like regular paint when you are tying and hooking things onto the rack.

Yes I defiantly want to do that before winter. What brand of bed liner did you use? and did you take the whole rack off or cover and paint with it on?

Why repaint it, what it painted before? If it were me I would go the easy route and take a heat fun to it and it will bring back the luster back to the color and you wouldn't have to worry about paint chipping

The rack itself is silver and has black paint. If you look at the pics you can see it's pretty chipped.

blueka thats a sick x!

ill post mine after i get my license plates -_-

Everyone asks me that question :D The previous owner lived in Las Vegas for 5 years so the truck hasn't had road salt on it as much. It was a lucky find, I cant tell you how many I had to go look through to find a truck without a ton of rust.

there are a couple brands that would do the trick just fine, on my rack i actually used the bedliner brand that they sell at walmart for like 8 bucks a can. just make sure you prep the racks well, and it would be a lot easier and worry free if you take the time to pull the racks off your X before you paint them. it will be easier to spray them all the way around, easier to reach, and you wont have to worry about getting bedliner on the rest of your truck. good luck and post pics!

^^^Thanks for the advice^^^ I think that may be my project for this weekend.
I also will be putting on my EF sport decal I got in the mail this week:D Heres a recent pic of "Gumball" at the lake for the last time this year:(
