The Explorer's new addition; a Yakima Rack

Nate, the basket looks good with your setup but I honestly don't see the point in having one, unless you HAVE to keep an oversized spare up there

Triton, I got that from someone in Salt Lake City for dirt cheap. It was just sitting in their garage (still was in the box). I would have prefered the deflector, but I wasnt going to argue for the price.
Kazer, you have a good point and I'm mainly in it for the look, but as I get more stuff on there it will fit in better. I will be getting an Axe/Shovel mount, Hi-lift mount, spare tire mount, and light mounts.
Once I gear up for off-roading that rack will be filled up.

Just because they look awesome, simple as that. Duh..

No I totally understand that, I would have taken it too lol.

I'm considering searching for a cheap one near me since winter is my off season since I make my living on the water so I've been doing small mods to keep my mind busy.

next year you should be good:)

Not my son! LOL! He is small like his dad, well like I use to be anyways. My 6 year old is still wearing 2 T's! LOL!

Haha my 2-year-old has been in 4T stuff for months... She's 3'4" lol.

I'll be trading in/selling my ex sometime in the next year for an 2010+ Expedition or diesel Excursion just so we fit a little better.

The excursion would be my choice but the fuel cost will kill go for the expedition

Diesel is about the same price as 93 down here, and that's what I use now.

Did quick search and used 2004 models since the Excursion left production in 2005.

Expedition: 19hwy/14 city
Diesel Excursion: 19hwy/ 16-18 city

That's the only downside to an Excursion… I've got a 2003 now, I don't want to upgrade to something that's only two years newer; even though the diesel in that will practically run forever. Part of me would rather go with the 2010+ Expedition.

And here's a picture so the mods don't get angry :D

Finally installing your radio today!
