Setina PB400

They are very clear that it will affect ALL front-mounted sensors. The only one it won't mess with is lane keeping (since it's mounted behind the rear view mirror). I have an XLT, so I have none of the sensors. If you have any sensors mounted below the hoodline, this is not for you.
Makes sense, thank you for the great info

There are two different models of the PB400. One for the Explorer w/o the sensors and, one for those that do. The uprights are spaced differently as are the lower mounting tabs for the ST, Limited and, the Platinum.

You should tell Setina that. I had to work with them extensively to get my bar (as the distributor I ordered through had tons of issues). They were adamant that there is only one bar and that it doesn’t work with sensors at all.

The bar I ended up getting was marked for the PIU. When I called, they reiterated there’s only one part and they interchange across the platform with those limitations.

As I posted. The PB400 for the ST is different from that of the XLT and PIU.
Do you have the part number for it? I’d like to call Setina and inquire about it.
There is only one part number used for the 2020 Ford Explorer St, Limited and XLT.
That part number is BK0534EPL20

The part number for the 2020 Ford Explorer PIU is BK0534ITU20

Both part numbers are for the same push bar the only difference is the last five ITU20 on the PIU part number designates a non-civilian unit for record-keeping purposes only.
And yes you are correct it will interfere with the sensors on the front end of the vehicle.
I just got off the phone with them and they assured me of all of the above information was correct.

This is consistent with what they’ve told me as well. After mounting it, I can’t see any other way they’d mount it any differently or at any different spacing either. The bolt locations are static, and they just barely line up with the openings on the front of the grill.

Well, Setina now has egg on its face. Someone there did not do their homework. The lower part of the nose clip on an ST and Platinum is different than the XLT and PIU. We just put the picture of Carbon87's XLT with a PIU. They are the same. The ST and Platinum are different. Also, the active shutters create an issue. Damn good thing the tech didn't start cutting trying to make it fit. Now comes the task of finding a PB that will fit an ST. At least I'm getting the skid plate installed along with the electronic air horn.

Out of sheer curiosity, do you happen to have a picture of what you're referring to?

I am sitting in the receptionist area at Dana. Because of the Corvid-19, they are restricting access to the installation area. I will try to get a picture once they are done installing the skid plate and air horn on my ST, of a PIU that is parked outside. One issue is the mounting points at the top. Your XLT has a different engine. No active grill shutters I believe. Also as I mentioned, the lower part of the nose clip is different. The trim pieces on my ST are not on the XLT or PIU. The lower grill opening is totally different. If my PB had the LED strobes in it, Dana would keep it and install it on a PIU. Because it doesn't, they will send it back.

I do have active grill shutters.

Lower grill opening may be different - haven't seen it up close on a ST.

It has to be the lower grill opening then along with the sensors for the self park feature. I really can live w/o it.

Funny, they have a sensor relocation kit. The city of Ft Worth just bought everyone they had last week. :( They are releasing them back to Dana one by one as their new PIU's are delivered to the install center. I just told the install center to cut away what ever trim has to be removed. It's not like I'm going to remove the PB when the ST gets traded years from now if then. I have several grand children that will be of driving age in another 6 to 7 years. One of them is in CO. I'll probably just give it to her.

I'd love a part number for that if you can squeeze it out of the Setina guys...

Notice the entire nose clip is different. It is the lower inside sensor that is the issue on the ST. One on the right side, one on the left. I just told the GM to take the damn things out and start cutting. I want the PB installed.
