4.0 mounting to engine stand

I’m having zero luck getting my engine stand mounted to my ‘05 Explorer 4.0.

I can’t get the top two bolts to line up at all.

I’ll try with the Mount switched one more time.

Doesn’t seem ideal, but it’s on.

Yeah, it’s a harbor freight stand and it’s been problematic with every engine I’ve mated it to.

Looks like it needs some heavy duty washers. Those nuts on the slots make me nervous. I’d probably bolt a larger plate to it, and not remove it.
