The original hose that runs from the valve cover to the intake tube tore years ago on my 2000 OHV. I replaced it with heater hose but it ended up tearing the intake tube as the heater hose would always pull towards the air box.
I recently found an intake tube in good shape at the junkyard and removed the aftermarket metal intake tube that I was using. I decided to use molded 5/8 hose this time so that the intake doesn’t get damaged again.
I found this hose that’s used for LS swaps on Amazon and removed this much off each end so it would fit.
It’s fits well and it isn’t pulling on the intake tube like the non molded hose was so it shouldn’t cause any damage this time. I also used a brass 5/8 hose barb splicer where it connects to the intake tube.
The OE hose is very difficult to find now so this is a good alternative.
