New to Lift and Tires

Hey thanks for your help. It's making it easier for me to decide what i am going to do. I have one more question, what are the brand of shackles you are using?

Thanks Section... I figured you guys would dismiss their claims but wanted to hear it from you all.
No worries on the other items also: speedometer, tranny shifts, ... ??
I'm switching dealerships... these guys annoy me with their misinformation and lack of cooperation.

So 30's will fit on stock 16" with no trimming, also the rear end is sagging a lot, I dont really want a lift, just want the back end up a little bit more, not REALLY high, but enough so it doenst look like it is sagging so much. Any suggestions?? Thanks.

You speedo will only be off by a small percentage. I didn't really notice much difference in shifts on mine. At 25mph youre only 3 or so mph off. Its not gonna screw you up too bad. Here's a good calculator to see how fast you'll really be going:

30s (or the metric equivlent) will easily fit on your stock Explorer. As far as sag.. have you looked into adding shackles or add-a-leafs? They're both very cheap and easy to do. The add-a-leafs will probably stiffen your ride a little (if you're looking for a smooth ride out of a TRUCK). :D

I have just one more question. If i do AAL and Shackles in the rear, will i have to change the shocks as well, or are the factory ones long enough for now?

the factory ones will work. if ya stay on the road. if ya off-road i'd recoment getting off-road shocks. the shocks are not much. Rancho 5000's is what i have there great. ther like 35 a peice.

Ok thanks, I know some stuff about engines and what not but, shakles and add-a-leafs and tt's I am clueless, what would you suggest or recomend for me. As I basically have no idea what they are nor the differences between them. It would have to be stable enough so i wouldnt roll over, (not good). And how much would 30's cost, a decent set that would do good on terrain as well as snow, any recomendations? Thanks.

265/75/16 is equivalent to 31.6" to 31.8", depending on tire and manufacturer.

285/75/16 is like a 32.5+/-
