Fluctuating Coolant Temp
Paul can't you start the engine with the radiator cap open and watch the level go down as it gets hot and add as needed? This is what I have always done. I didn't realize that maybe I was doing it wrong???- rpenner54

95 F150 T-stat???
Okay which one should I get? They range from 160 all the way up to 195 degrees. This is going in a 2wd DD I-6 300cid truck. Then one I got in there now seems to be stuck closed as of this morning. So any ideas would be good. :) I will be getting this soon! :)- rpenner54

Stuck bolts.
Hey all, any ideas on how to get those stupid little bolts from the front diff off? The ones that connect the drive shaft to the front diff? I need to get these off and I just land up slipping on them or if I try to use the Torx pattern I can't get enough leverage and I slip. I don't want to...- rpenner54

We fixed all our Van problems!
LOL well it really wasn't by choice. It was A) swap out the entire front end and make the explorer run. B) buy a new truck that costs around the same amount and just have something that I can keep driving every day. :) Life is fun eh? Lets just say I was driving home in the Explorer and...- rpenner54

SAS is now underway!
Jon, What's the newest here? I have bad balljoints on my truck and am running 235's on my 5.5" lift just to get by. I think I can locate a EB 44 for cheap and I just need to be able to get the axle in, in one weekend. Think its doable? :)- rpenner54

We fixed all our Van problems!
Yup we sure did!!!! It was a bit of work but in the end it turned out a bit better. Swapped the engine out for a 4.6L and the body out for an Expedition. :D Okay so we just traded it in. Got a pretty good deal too! :) We are happy.- rpenner54

MODERATOR'S RANT TO ALL MEMBERS!!
How does Mine look? :p I hate long threads where the only thing that your scrolling through is the sigs. If your sig is longer then your average small post them maybe its time to think about changing it up and just linking up to it. If I care enough to check out a link I will click on it. :)- rpenner54

What do you guys recommend?
You can usually beat those brackets back into place. However it makes it much easier for them to bend the next time its hit. I did that a few years ago on a "beat" bumper I got from Matt. :) Once I "fixed" it he couldn't tell it was the same one. :)- rpenner54

It does tick when starting up. Man I sure wish I could bring it by you just so you could see if it has all those same parts. I may be down south this Sunday maybe there is a chance we could hook up so you could possibly point out some of these parts? :) It would be SOOO helpfull. :) It's...- rpenner54

Opps, Yeah its a Nissan Quest with ~120k miles. It has a Nissan 3.0 V6. Stephen I found that site the other day and have posted over there also. Thanks for that link. :) I have no idea on maintence of it before we got it. I have done regular oil changes and all that good stuff...- rpenner54

Our Van...
This van is going to drive us NUTS off the cliff! When driving it we get a surging when going just about any speed when the rpms are lowers the 2200 rpm. It doesn't happen as bad if we keep the RPMS up. However when driving that's not always possible. I have done Plugs wires, distributor cap and...- rpenner54

Is this thing taking a leak?!?!
LOL Probably some how or another its leaking or burning oil if it has the stock engine! :) I used to drive one of those. They are low enough stock, I don't know why anyone would do that to one! Plus those really can't get out of their own way. I think I timed my 0-60 time in mine at around...- rpenner54

RWD Making A Comeback
It's sorta like when people say ABS is better then no ABS. If you know how to drive you know that's not true. Specially on the DRY stuff. Wet it may help a bit but again if you know how to brake you can get em to stop. :)- rpenner54

Worlds fastest pickup...
DANG!!!! There was a Dodge cummins last year at Truck Fest in Bandimere and it was a 4x4 3500 (I think). It had BIG HUGE slicks on the back and some very long anti-wrap bars. This thing had dual exhaust and would smoke WHITE smoke idling there. Pretty sweet! Then when it got up to the...- rpenner54

Help me out a bit. Big project.
Honestly I would buy the parts first. Buy the Explorer next. :) I betcha he can find a real worn out Explorer for a good cheap cost. Since its all going to be replaced that doesn't matter anyway.:) As far as what parts to buy, I really can't answer that. :)- rpenner54

TO ALL People w/ 5.5' lift X's Need Input!!!!!
Yup, lost the bushing. It had a locknut on there that was on tight. The only reason it fell off was due to loosing a weight on the wheel which made it bounce big time. So... :) Either way axles in the yards are cheap from what I have seen. You may have to look but I know they would be...- rpenner54

TO ALL People w/ 5.5' lift X's Need Input!!!!!
I have about $1800 worth of parts in the front of my TTB. That is without a front locker. Its also with all the bearings and grease and any other minor thing that you have to purchase ALL the time. Personally I think you can do a solid front axle for cheap. I think when you start from...- rpenner54

Skip em both and just go solid axle. :) Same relative cost in the end. Except you probably will spend less time swapping out parts.- rpenner54

Frame draggin Explorer for sale on eBay
You can't loose that much head room. With a custom floor like that you would think there would be some custom seats in there too. I think the seats in my Explorer are sitting up pretty high. Hmm... Frame draggin Explorer for sale on eBay
What does he mean by body drop? Does he cut the whole floor out of the Explorer and move it all up? Or does he move the body mounts up??? lpg affect engine ?

Interior Shifter Mod.......anyone
I guess I was just thinking of more of the linkage stuff and the under the body parts rather then the inside stuff. I hadn't really thought about the inside. Maybe from another ford product with the floor shifter? Tarus, or a Coutour or something like that, that has the floor shifter.- rpenner54
