i was wondering if anyone knows about the laws governing where the exhaust has to exit the car at...ive been thinking about cutting off my dual exhaust right after the muffler due to some problems with it, but im not sure if that is against the law or not....someone said something to me like it...

ok, i had a dual exhaust job done on my '99 sport....dual out behind the muffler, etc....now i have this awful, metal against metal rattling noise and i cant figure out what it could be...i thought it could have been the big tip hitting the metal bumper, cuz when i had the job done, i had been...

i have dual exhaust w/flowmaster and dual exit with 3.5 inch tips......and i like the sound and all its great, but i was wondering if gettin 3 inch tips or maybe a 2.5 would make it sound any differenty?......the 3.5's make a pretty deep sound to me.....would 3 or 2.5 be deeper?...

this weekend is opening week at the drag strip, and i was thinkin about takin the explorer out to Atlanta Drag strip in Commerce and see how it runs down the strip..i only have a k&n filter and flowmaster exhaust, so does anyone know what a ballpark time for this would be? 16 sec, 17...

ok heres a thought on the topic of drilling out th airbox......the stock computer/chip is set for the amount of air that comes into the system through the original hole in the airbox....so would it cause a problem, like having the engine seize up or running too lean at high rpm's by cuttin holes...

ok guys..just had the flowmaster put on my '99 sport..and had the guy run dual exhaust out of the dual exit muffler....really really tight fit down there...but the only way he could route the pipes was to take one of them, i think the left side one, right over the top of the differential...

I was at Advance autoparts today...and when the guy brought up the menu for the rancho RS9000's, he said somehting like it will give about 1 or 1.5 inches of lift over stock....so i was wondering if anyone has put these on a stock explorer and if they did, did you notice any height...

actually i have a '99 ohv explorer sport...not a v8..my mom has the '96 v8.....and i think i will give that drilling thing a try....i also already have a k&n filter....had to use the one for the 98 sohc because apparently k%n doesnt have one for the 99's yet according to napa and advance auto...

I'm in the process of getting a flowmaster muffler for my '99 explorer sport...and i was wondering if anybody knew what size exhaust pipes i am running on the stock model...also when you order the mufflers, do you have to tell them what size pipes you have or do you just tell them what model car...
