Vlad, that's not a bad looking unit. I really hate the way the Ranger/Explorer looks with those stupid DIN conversion adapters, but that receiver has the features I like, without anything extra I don't want, at a decent price. I could always fab up an adapter plate that doesn't look so cheesy...

Picked up a console for my Ranger. Aside from having a hard time finding an interior paint that matches the darker gray on my truck, I've got the typical arm rest issue. I searched but didn't see anything aplicable. I managed to patch one up before, and it's in my brother's truck. Still...

Nothing? I'll have to go buy another set of the screwdrivers to take it apart and see if there's anything corroded or flopping around loose then.

Back story: I've actually got a factory Explorer head unit in my Ranger. Don't know what year the Explorer was that I got it from. It has the am/fm/CD/cassette options. I got it because the face on my stock Ranger unit cracked and I didn't (still don't) have the money for aftermarket stuff...

Wasn't aware of there being such a tight fit there... Hmmm... I need to stop by and look at the Bronco soon. If the frame isn't gone I may save up for a fiberglass tub. I've seen a couple EBs rolling around recently, and I get jealous. At the very least, I can get measurements on all this...

Ok, technically you're right... but it's still an AOD, and I do not like it. IF its drastically better than the older versions, I'd consider it for ease of swap, but I'd still rather use the mechanical bits off the Bronco over the electric ones on the Explorer... because the guy helping me...
