Does anyone know the degree of taper for a factory tie-rod?

Anyone have an idea what the problem could be? After running on the freeway for a while, when I get home I smell coolant. I don't see any leaks, so I'm not sure. It has about 125k miles on it.

I have the electric leather seats in my 99 Mountaineer and it won't move forward or backwards. All other controls work fine. I've taken the driver seat out, cleaned all the carpet fuzz and lint from the tracks but still nothing. I can hear the motor engage with the switch but it doesn't move.

I have a customer that wants about 2" of lift but I don't want to crank the torsion bars and make the ride stiff, and all I'm finding are 98+ Ranger torsion keys. My experience with long travel kits says Ranger kits work with 95-01 Explorers so I'm wondering if the Ranger torsion keys work...
