I had the sending unit on my X rust out. The guy at the shop told me it was the charcoal canister but I knew it wasnt.

I had that problem when I had Maniks on my X. I actually sent them back to Manik and they sent me a new front bar and a new back light gaurds. Their customer service was excellent. I forget if its a 3 year warrenty they have or if its 10 years now. I dunno but I kinda miss driving my X. I...

I no longer drive an Explorer but I still surf this site cause I love the X's. If you are looking for something tough and rugged, give the guys at www.ranchhand.com a call. I love the look of these bumpers and they are built damn tough!

Well, my fun with the Exploder has ended. I went out this weekend and bought a Chevy Silverado, time for a change. I still love the X but I wanted something new. Thanks for all the great info on this site folks. And keep on truckin'

Got a spare can of gas............ Pour a small puddle of gas under the truck before she leaves. Tell her you dont want her to drive it because it maybe leaking gas and you dont want her to blow up. Works better if she a smoker. If not pulling the fuel relay works.

They are wrong. Its very possible to put duals on an explorer, not realy duals but a single in/dual out muffler. I have mine coming out on each side of the back bumper.

Damn, when did wheelin in NH become illegal, I havent been wheeling up there for about 5 years because I was away at college and didnt have time. You know when they passed these new laws Cboug? It's too bad cause I used to have a blast up there.

Im not sure about where in Bethel the trails are, I know they are rated between 1-7 so some of them get pretty tough. I have never actually been up there to go wheeling. I had talked to some people and they said it is a good place to go. Ill try to get you some more info and let you know.

When I got in an accident with my 94 X limited, I ended up getting a Smittybuilt Dual Tube bumper with the top hoop. It ran for 150 I think. It was much cheaper than getting a new one. Plus I had a hard time finding one for a 94 in the boneyard back then.

My Explorer was a P.O.S. also, ive stuck it out though and put up with the repairs that havent been under warrenty. 3 motors, 4 tranny re-builds, 4x4 transfer case, rearend...I wont go on. I think mine was built the friday before x-mas vacation or something cause nothing ever worked correctly...

There used to be some good stuff up in N. Conway and further north. I havent been wheeling in a while so I dont know if there are still trails. I know there is some good stuff in Bethel, Maine.

Driveway Seal Your best bet is to go to Home Depot and get some driveway seal and do the whole thing. Just thought id through in the option with the most work involved ;)

Check your sending unit I had the same problem with my 94 and the sending unit had rusted out. Cost about 300 bucks between parts and labor to have the unit replaced. It also comes with a new fuel pump. Bryan aka Jokeman

I have the same issue. I have had the same issue in my 94 explorer. I have had the crankshaft sensor replaced because it was broken. That seems to have made the problem occur less often. I also have had the sending unit replaced(replacled pump with it). This has not solved the problem yet...
