Sometimes when I start my engine my starter stays turned on so I turn the key off and it stays on trying. to start but never firing, until I pull the battery cable off. Has this ever happened to anyone before and what caused it? I have a brand new heavy duty starter solenoid on it right now...

Did the insulation really help with temp and sound?

Has anyone here changed their entire interior to black or dyed the seats any color? I'm not a big fan of seat covers, I think they are cheesy looking and they never fit right.

ok here's what i did. $500 new aftermarket casting heads using the original valves, springs keepers etc. $100 new alternator, $25 new starter solenoid, $135 head gasket set, $40 new lifter, $40 new head bolts. gasket matched intake plenum, fuel supply manifold, lower intake manifold.

Thanks again FIND. The firing order you gave me was right and chiltons was wrong. I appreciate the help more than you know. I missed driving my X so much. I had to drive the gf's neon for a month.

I have the chiltons or haynes manual for my truck. And all of the spark plug wire diagrams are really shotty and hard to read. But from what I read on the forums it shoud be 123456 on the engine and 123465 on the coil. Everytime I try to start the engine it backfires through the intake.

everything is connected and the engine wont fire. i have fuel pressure and im pretty sure i have the firing order right on the plug wires and coil but it will not fire and run. what am i missing?

i sure will. i would post pics of all the work being done but my phone screwed up and i dont have a digital camera. i gasket matched/ported and polished the intake manifold, fuel manifold, and the upper intake plenum. i painted the valve covers, upper plenum and the water neck ford blue...

How do I reprime my hydraulic lifters. I was told to just drop them in a cup of oil and leave them for a day.

If they came in black with amber leds I would really think about getting them.
