Ford Explorer Rear Axle Whine Noise updated TSB...

Here's a copy of the latest bulletin issued by Ford about the Explorer rear axle noise. This bulletin outlines new part #'s and what it will take to repair the rear axle. I have the parts on order for mine as at 50mph at a steady cruise I get a whine that cuts through the floorboard.

I have the same issues and have been dealing with it over 4 years.
