Welcome! This topic comes up alot. Do a search and you will find plenty. Usually the the easiest way to do the conversion is swap everything you need from a wrecked v8 explorer to your sport. It is also probably the cheapest route.

i was also thinking about getting a carburated 302 and trying to fit it in but some guy told me that there is no space for the downshift line. any idea how much a donor would cost. like a 2000 mountaineer or a v8 explorer
