I've searched many a thread and done lots of feeling around myself for the PCV valve on my 01 sport with the 4.0 SOHC. But I'm coming up short; I found one post that stated some 01s ("2001 1/2") didn't have a PCV valve?? Thought I was getting close tonight: There's a couple vac lines that come together in a V shape splice visible on the passenger side at the rear of the engine. This connection goes into a larger hose that goes down into the back of the engine. I traced it down and ended up feeling it go into a flat surface that felt like plastic, but there was no pulling it out. Thoughts?

Which build date do you have? I have a 2001 that was built 3/2000 and my PCV valve is on the rear of my intake a little towards the passenger side.

Right around where you described there should be a PCV valve.

Hmmm....mine also says 03/2000 on the door sticker. Lemme show you a pic of what I'm looking at, perhaps it is what I've been looking at?

These are looking from the passenger side.

In your second pic that grey thing is your PCV valve. If you do replace it I would go with another motorcraft because all the aftermarket ones seem to crack the plastic T-fitting that it slides into.

Guess I can pull it tomorrow.....which hose is appropriate for sea-foam?

I never ran seafoam through my intake so I wouldn't know which one is appropiate. I would say any hose with vacuum should work though.
