'02 Explorer A/C compressor clutch

Question, compressor clutch is shot,sparks bad when it engages. Is it still ok to drive w/o turning on A/C? Compressor and pulley on compressor seem fine,just the clutch is the issue. Any help is appreciated.

It would be smart to unplug the wire to the clutch, as it will engage the A/C when you put on the defrost. As long as the bearing is good there should be no issue with driving it.
